i am bad about writing things down. maybe if i felt better??  i'm not on the computer hardly at all and it hurts my fingers to update from my phone.

so, here are some words that jae says:

i just got some unisom to go with my b6. i don't know why it's taken me so long to get it... probably bc i didn't wanna pay for it.  ha ha!  night!

13 wks appt

I knew I should have changed my appt to later in the afternoon, but I like to get them out of the way so I can have the rest of the day to do whatever.  Of course, I barfed before heading out.  It had been a week since throwing up, so I hope this means the morning sickness is going away!  Who knows?  I'm still so super tired and have 3 hour naps!

I heard the heartbeat today--that's always a good sign!  Dr. said I haven't gained any weight since last time, though.  Not surprising since I've been puking for a month!  Not a lot in comparison to my 1st pregnancy, but enough to make me feel gross and not eat I guess.  Nothing ever sounds good.  I'm over my smoothie kick, but I still love my mentos!

In about 6 weeks I will have my ultrasound to find out the gender.  My friend, Amy, didn't find out and I wish Jimmy liked surprises.  I think it would be fun to not find out what we're having!  Jimmy says, "How will we know what to name him/her if we don't find out?"  Honey, we knew what Jae's gender was and it took us until we left the hospital to decide on a name.

I guess I could start taking some belly pictures and compare them to when I had Jae.  Guess I better go find what weeks I took them.

Cheese!

What a ham I have!  I held my camera phone out and told him to say, "Cheese!"  But, only I did.  I thought he wasn't paying attention, but decided to smile really big!  This pic really makes him look bigger than he is...  anyway, I loooove this pic!  He is so cute!

me: jae, let's go brush your teeth.
jae: teeh!

and then he jumped out of my lap and ran to the bathroom.  i am glad he is so thrilled about brushing his teeth.

he also cleans up his tub toys so i don't have to.  the living room? that's another story!  but, we have one of the jetted tubs... it's huge... and i hit my knee on it a lot.  anyway, i'm just glad i don't have to clean up after him.

anemic

apparently you get more and more tired with each pregnancy.  how'm i supposed to have 8 kids?!  :P  i suppose i'm a bit anemic, too.  jimmy offered me a reese's peanut butter cup.. our conversation went something like this:

jimmy: do you want a reese's?
me: no. i need protein, that's candy!
jimmy: peanut butter is protein.

ooooh, my bad!  i'm working on eating more leafy greens... as of tonight.  i had a salad tonight, that was yummy!  i suppose now that i may be past the puking part (knock on wood) and i can focus on eating more healthy things.

our scanner isn't working right now, but i may be too lazy to fix it. :P  so, here is the ultrasound of our little bean.  our 2nd little bean.

i'm due august 28.  yep, right when law school starts.  go figure.  jimmy wants a girl so he can name her mae.  mm, no.. sorry, honey!  we BOTH have to agree on a name.  i say we can use it as a middle name; where it will never be used!!!

i am sick again this pregnancy, but it's not as bad as when i was pregnant with jae.  still sick enough that i had to quit my job.  the worst of my sickness started at week 8, but with jae it was week 5.  i don't puke as often as last time.  it's down to once a week as i'm at 12.4 weeks.

i guess i've held the news in as long as i could.  i should have waited longer.  until i actually gave birth.  darn. plan foiled by my own worst enemy: me.

Today + Jae = Fun

So, we went on a walk today!  It was at least 50 degrees!  We dropped something off for my visiting teaching calling and then hung out in the driveway/sidewalk where we currently reside.  Jae decided he wanted to stand around and eat snow off the snow bank.  I guess we'll find out tomorrow if I should have stopped him sooner. :P  Then his hands got really cold and I tried to warm them up.  With his help, of course!

I saw a young family walking their dog (and baby) and thought it'd be fun for Jae to pet the dog.  So, we started to head across the street, but they were leaving before I got there.  That's when Jae spotted the playground hidden between some townhouses.  We went over there and found another dog!  The dog was out with a 14 or 15-year-old girl.  Jae was being a charmer (it all comes natural) and the girl says, "he's way cuter than the dog!"  Wow, really?  Thank.. thank you.. ???  I told her, "he better be!"  It was interesting to say the least.

Jae continued to walk/run around the grass and try to climb up the slide and walk on his own between 2 townhomes, but got scared when he heard an electric saw going off.  :P

A while after we got home, we were playing downstairs.  I had a mishap with flatulence and Jae said, "boot!"  I laughed out loud and then he started laughing... we were both laughing for a good 5 minutes!  He is so cute.. throwing his head back, opening his mouth real big, and laughing!

Oh, he added a new word to his vocab today!  "Piece."  It's from Team UmiZoomi.  We also taught him this morning where his philtrum is.  :)

I sent a picture text of me and Jae to my friend in Hawai`i.  We were just sitting on the recliner and she text me back telling me how funny it was that Jae is like half my size.  I suppose I am a bigger person inside than I am on the outside.  :P  But, this picture made me realize how little I really am.  (Yeah, I hate it, so don't continue to give me a complex about it).

Max, Camille, Jae, and I made lovely "ornaments" (???) out of play dough.  It, of course, had much salt in it and Jae kept trying to eat the dough.  Max did a lovely job of rolling out the dough and cutting out shapes.  In this picture he's saying, "Cheese!"  Too cute!

I hope the next post will be our family pictures my friend took for us!  I am anxious to see them!
