Joey stands up at the dishwasher or the fridge and Jimmy will come pat him down. Ha ha!

noodle heads

Joey had a spaghetti noodle on his forehead. Of course, he didn't realize it was there or even mean to put it there. I told Jae I'd be right back so I could get the camera to take a picture.

And, as usual, Jae is saying, "Jae, too!"

MD

We went to MD for Ivan's Spring Break. It was fun to let the cousins play together! Jimmy had a brief due, so he stayed home.

Dad got the rope swing going again and Jae refused to go on it this time. So, I took Joey for a swing. :)

And, while I was swinging, Jae decided to run off with Max. After I chased him down, he got in trouble and then got tied to a tree. LOL! Oh, he didn't like that so much:

But, Max sure enjoyed it:

Me & Joey

Jae finding rocks...

We let the 2 older kiddos stay up and watch "Thomas" while some of us adults played Ticket to Ride. I think I hit my record LOW!

The next morning (03.19.12) we got ready...

to go to Havre de Grace. It was very foggy, as you can see:

but there's something magical about fog! :)  Makes for cool pictures, too!

I LOVE HIM...

...and I LOVE HIM!

Jae and "UnkaBen" looking at info on the lighthouse:

I don't think there's a single picture of any of the kids looking at the camera. They're still cute! :)

Poor goose only had one leg in working order:

Miss Jena and Joey going for a ride!

Max likes to run ahead of the gang and then lay down to rest... or something??

When we got back to G&G's and everyone had naps, Ben showed us where Miami Beach was and we played:

Jena, Max, and Jae in their own separate areas in their own stages in life.
Jena is daring and walks into the water, splashing and getting soaked, and putting whatever she can find into her mouth.
Max is building a sand castle, or just making "mud" with his tupperware and cups.
And then my special kid is over here eating a twig?

Sakura Festival in DC

There are more pictures of DC, but I haven't asked anyone to put them in Dropbox so we can get copies.

We went to the park after DC and played:

I thought this was cute...
Camille was having the boys be airplanes on the walk back to G&G's:

st. patrick's day

We fed the missionaries (of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) lunch and had some friends over. We ate and played Napoleon Dynamite using Jae's easel he got for Christmas. It was fun and we ate all but 1 serving of that 5.5lb. pork butt! It was good and I want to do this again sometime!

Me & Jae having fun!

siiiiiigh

remember that one time i was going to put my blog on private?
still waiting...

been busy trying to organize this place called "home"! but, in my defense.. jimmy did tell jae the other day that, "home is where your stuff is." (as jae pointed to a random house as we drove past saying that was our house).

i guess i will just leave it public for now. i always forget to write the funny things jae says or does to joey. facebook has all that since i can do that from my phone.

anyway... going to go clean now. i don't know how, but i got myself into feeding the missionaries 2 days in a row. :P but... we are waiting for our Alaea Red Hawaiian Salt to come. we are making kalua pork and mac salad for the elders. elder lavata'i is samoan and he needs some yummy foods that remind him of home.

over-exposed cuteness

Joe was probably screaming. Jimmy took the picture... but it appears they were all having a great time!

Out for a stroll in beautiful Pennsylvania!

Sadly to admit, I dumped this in the trash. TOO MUCH CHEESE! He loves making me snacks and giving them to me. I still love him, I do!

Gettysburg

Just hangin' out with Abe... and Joe.

The Gettysburg Address. Jimmy. Jae.

Gift shop! We sampled some fudge and Joey enjoyed chewing on the spoon for a good part of the walk through.

We just went in the visitor center since we didn't want to drive through Gettysburg w/ the boys. We'll do that another time! Jae and I wrote a postcard to the military that would get sent out. I thought that was really fun!

We stopped at the Outlet Mall there and walked around and did very little shopping.
And then it was dark on our way home...
Jimmy wanted me to take a picture of the moon.

Spring Break Pie

My dad wanted a lemon meringue pie. I made one. From scratch. My first pie EVER. Dad loved it, but sadly I didn't stir the filling long enough and it didn't set up correctly. Better luck next time!

Spring Break in Philly

So, we went to MD for some of Spring Break and then to Philly.  Grandma & Grandpa watched the boys while Jimmy, Ben, and I went to Philadelphia for a few hours.

Independence Hall... I think... O.o

A quote I liked:

The courtroom:

Something significant about this painting, yadda yadda...
(you can tell I love history, right?)

Aesthetically pleasing! I love the architecture!

So, on the tables back there, they had some bifocals, a cane, and some books from those days.
(I also like to listen to historical facts.)

Books from those days:

a can from those days:

bifocals from those days:

Unknown soldiers monument:

Independence Hall is behind us, I believe...

The Liberty Bell Museum:

Go Korea!

Just in case you wanted to know that we actually saw the Liberty Bell... well, here she is!:

OK, so here is a better shot. (And don't ask why I'm leaning!)

In Philadelphia, people like to drive with their backpacks hanging out of their vehicles:

The moment I was waiting for! CHEESESTEAKS! These two places, Pat's and Geno's, claim that they are the first original cheesesteak sandwich makers.

Geno's (bread was yummy):

Pat's (steak was better):

Overall, it was a very cold and quick trip! Next time we go, hopefully it will be warmer than 43 degrees. Jimmy and Ben just had hoodies. I had my coat and was STILL freezing!
