Outdoor/Indoor Fun!

I don't know what day this was, but saw a bunny (booney, says Jae) outside our apartment:

We had a lovely snowstorm that hit us on Saturday Oct 29th. I took a before pic, but forgot to take an after-it-stopped-snowing pic.

Jimmy went outside to build our snowman family (Joey is a swaddled clump of snow):

And, today (Nov 2), Jae decided to draw on himself:

Ward Trunk-or-Treat

Our ward had a trunk-or-treat. We put Jae in a costume from last year, Turtle, and Joey wore Jae's Sumo costume. Let me tell you, Joey doesn't make as good of a Sumo as Jae did. Still cute nonetheless.. just not as good.

Videos

I was trying to capture Joey cooing and then Jae comes and steals the show.. with his cheese:

Jae is wanting to help me record Joey. Jae sees his feet in the camera and says, "Jae!" And then Jae wants to sit on Joey.

Jae looooves the song "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and can now do some actions for it. It's the only song I really sang to him, so he loves it!

And, of course, "Pat-a-Cake" is a must. Apparently I sing it wrong, but who cares? I just like the way he rolls it.

playdough and mommy proofing

I made play dough for Jae to play with. I do have cookie cutters, but they are at the store, so we just played with what we had:

Jae kept wanting to eat the play dough, but I kept telling him it was yucky and he shouldn't eat it. Not once, but multiple times. I let the kid loose (he was done playing) and I was cleaning up. All of a sudden I hear some nasty noises like... near-puking noises... so I turned around and Jae is kind of choking on some dough. He eventually threw up the piece that was swallowed. It was actually pretty funny because once he threw up, he had his hands on his head like, "Oh man, this is disgusting! This is soooo gross!" I laughed and said, "I told you not to eat the dough.." and then he started laughing. Luckily the puke was in the kitchen so it was easy to clean.

Jae likes to Mommy-Proof the pots & pans cupboard:

Joey at 8wks. Size 3 diapers!
(We don't have a scale and are still waiting on medical insurance so I don't know how much he weighs or his length).

Jae loves to lay down by Joey when he's on his playmat.

This is how Jimmy puts baby to sleep (OK, so it was once):

Josef's Blessing Day

Jimmy, Grandpa Roberts, & Uncle Ivan were all there to be a part of Josef's blessing in the Carlisle Ward.

Our family of four:

Sportin' the blessing outfit Grandma Roberts made:

We were lucky to have a sister in the ward who does shorthand. She caught up with us after Sacrament Meeting and asked us a couple questions and got a few names to fill in some of the blanks. I wrote them down for her and we should get a copy of it in a couple of weeks. What a wonderful service!

Saturday is a special day

Saturday we dropped Daddy off at school so he could study. We went to Lowe's to build a Monster Machine with cousin Max:

Then we picked up Daddy, toured the law school building, and then went to a museum to see some work of Picasso:

After lunch and naps, we went to an elementary school and played on the playground:

(I can't get this photo to flip the right way)

Little Buddies

I'm not exactly sure where we were headed, but Jae was getting Joey ready to go:

I put Joey on the couch and Jae wanted to sit right next to him... with a blanket, also!

where to start?

It's been a looong time since I've blogged a blog worth reading.  I don't know where to start!

The apartment is roomy.  Yeah, it has rooms.  But, I mean there's lots of open space in comparison to our apt in Murray.  It smells just as bad, if not worse, so I'm in dire need of an air freshener. Or 10.

I don't have any pics of the apartment yet as I am still organizing and unpacking.  Please stand by.

Here is Joey in his new swing and swaddling blankets from his G&G Gilbert.  He doesn't like his arms wrapped up tightly, so I give him a little room!

For General Conference, we visited Grandpa Roberts.  Here is Jae on the ride down:

We went on a stroll to the park and played...

...and cried...
 ...and cried.
OK, he didn't cry THAT much! But, he didn't like being up there like that.

Jae and Joey got to dance together. It started with Joey table dancing, but then Jae wanted up, so it's just dancing on the chair ;)

Joey likes to be propped up; he doesn't like to be flat on his back.  I think maybe he has some acid reflux or some gas problems.  His stomach seems to always be making noise!  I discovered that he sleeps really well in his carseat, so that's where he sleeps now.

Jae hasn't been sleeping too well since the big move.  He used to scream real loud and I'd throw him back in bed. Not literally, but I felt like it!  He would cry for Jake and April and The Boys.  We were able to Skype with them on Sunday and now he says, "Jake.. pu'er" and goes down the list. Sometimes he will throw "Utah" in there. (Since we Skyped, I've tried to tell him that we flew on a plane and moved to Pennsylvania and Jake, April, and the boys live in Utah).  Anyway, he still wakes up once in the night and is up by 6am. :|

Earlier today Jae grabbed a can of Jimmy's V8 from the fridge and wanted some.  I had to record it because Jimmy was at school and wondered earlier if Jae would like V8.  Here's his first swig:

And, here's our little goofball at dinner tonight:

Thanks for reading! My goal is to blog once a week!  In the meantime, wish me luck on getting this apartment in order!

P.S. Jimmy is enjoying classes and doing well! I see him more often than I thought I would!  Let's just hope that when grades come out next semester, that I will continue to see him as often as I do, lol!  We eat dinner when he gets home, about 4 or 5.  I moved dinnertime up because that was Joey's fussy time. But, I think he caught on! That's so dumb!!  But, early dinner works great since Jae goes to bed at 7 or 7:30.
