Napoleon Dynamite & Friends

We had Lindsey and Kendrick over for dinner and we played Napoleon Dynamite. L & K won us w/ their amazing drawing abilities... LOL :)  They really did draw better than us!

DC Temple & Swinging

One great thing about living here is dropping the kids off to Grandma & Grandpa's so we can go to the DC Temple! I never thought I'd ever make it to go there, but here we are! We met our friend (whom we met at BYUH), Kristi, and we all did Sealings together. After that, we went to the chapel next door and Kristi had some yummy soup cooking! How nice, she provided us with lunch! We supplied the bread. :) We finally got to meet her sweet little boy, Judah. What a handsome little fella! And, little did we know, she is expecting #2 in July!

We got back to G&G's and the boys were sleeping! Dad and Ben made a rope swing and when Jae woke from his nap, he got to swing!  I don't think he stayed on very long, but he had fun! We all did! (The pics of Ben and Joey didn't turn out very good, so they aren't posted.)

My friend, Tasha, got this shirt for Jae when we stayed w/ her, Mike, & Oliver when I went back to BYUH in 2010. I can't believe Joey already wore it and grew out of it. :|  I tried to find a picture of when Jae wore it, but I'm in the process of organizing all my photos and I can't find it. Maybe later.

Wow, I'm actually caught up on my blog! Don't worry, it won't last long.

Today I found Joey like this:

He slid out of his swing and pulled the blanket over him. Jae came in and saw him like that and said, "Where's Joey?" (Like he was playing hide-and-seek bc we ask where Jae is when we play with him).

It snowed today! A good couple of inches, too! Jae enjoyed it! (And yes, those are Jae's hat and gloves that he's had since he was 6mo old). Jimmy had to run to school to get some books and Jae didn't want to go inside yet. So... I bundled up Joey and we sat on the porch to keep an eye on Jae.

Like I've said before... Jae loves to help me in the kitchen! We emptied the dishwasher the other day and I tell him which drawer things go in. He will point to the drawer (with utensil in hand poking the drawer) and ask, "This one? This one?"

He had some silverware and those go in the top drawer, so he can't really see in it. But, I let him help out anyway:

Sometimes Joey just wants to be left alone. I didn't think he would fall asleep this time:

His nap didn't last very long as Jae woke from his nap.

Ama & Ampa (G&G) and Uncle Ben came to visit on MLK, Jr. Day.  "Ama" helped Jae make a silver white cake and Jae got to lick the beater.

Ampa installed a new curved shower rod in our bathroom. Sure makes a world of difference! Even for little me! So much room, ha ha!

Ben made a frosting and filling for the cake. I liked it! And even Jimmy ate some!  It had a blueberry filling and an orange cream cheese frosting on top. Kind of a weird mixture I thought at first, but it was good. I ate the last 3 or 4 remaining pieces that were left the next day.

We played 7 Wonders and I got annihilated. I blame it on a fussy/hungry baby. :P

Jimmy got these weird law school word magnets from school. But, he's pretty good at making sentences out of the few words that were provided:

bobby pin toothpaste

 Don't you know what Bobby Pin Toothpaste is? It's the best ever!

OK, so this tube of toothpaste was almost out anyway... I wondered where my bobby pins were going...

Jae took the cap off the toothpaste and stuck a bobby pin in the toothpaste:

Dirt.

Jae wanted dirt for his trucks. I couldn't think of anything clever, nor did I have dirt in my pantry. So... I just let him think that cloves=dirt. At least it smelled nice!

Since then, I found this recipe for Cloud Dough on Pinterest and will try it. We'll just have to keep that in the kitchen!
