just us

i thought this blog needed a picture.  i need to upload pics again.  this was at jake's house over the summer. jae likes to jump on the trampoline with his cousins, seth & james.

apple

jae said apple this morning as i was at april's.  it was exciting!  before he was saying "bapple" because everything is "bah."  he's the cutest.

jae misses you

that's part of a text jimmy sent me.  he asked me when i was coming home [from work] and told me that jae misses me.  at april's, she was showing jae pics of me and said, "mama" and he would repeat it!  jimmy said it to jae and he said, "mama!"  what!?!  i wanna hear!!

tonight we had family prayer.  we are working on teaching him how to kneel and fold his arms. we kneel by his pack 'n play for prayer.  he is the cuuuutest!  i told him to kneel down and he did ever so cutely!  then i told him to fold his arms.  he crossed them and jimmy started the prayer.  i had to peek to see if he was staying reverent and he totally had his finger up his nose!  i giggled.

he is toooooo cute!  we were running around laughing out loud after dinner.  jimmy was talking to joe on the phone and we were sooo noisy!  i love my little man!  i'm grateful to have a flexible schedule!

FT < PT

so, i talked to tiffany yesterday and she said she could work FT for me and i will work her PT schedule.  i'm so glad our boss OK'd it!  april says there is no replacement for a mom... true story!  and then i was talking to the boss downstairs about how late she's there to see if maybe i could go in in the late afternoons.  i told her i miss jae and she told me that it gets easier.  she has 2 kids and it was hard for her at first, but it gets easier and you get used to it.  but... i don't want to get used to it.  i know we need the money and i should work FT, but it's not the best for jae... or me!!

that's all for now!  it's saturday morning and i am actually heading into work from 9-1.  then jimmy goes to work at 315.

oh, so i work mondays and wednesdays.  and hopefully i am the kit prepper in the late afternoons.  :)  they just need to train me.  (how hard is it to cut 12x12's into photo mats)? :P

1st day of work

my back hurts so bad!  i tried standing up and sitting down, but nothing i did made my back feel better.  i thought by carrying 22-pound-Jae around i was in shape.  hehe!  i'll do some stretches and hopefully in time i will feel better.

all i did today for 8 hours was put cardstock and die-cuts into packaging.  i don't do any of the shipping, just "stuffing" (is what they call it).  today i did 350 kits.  it's mega monotonous, but i don't mind getting paid to do mindless work.  :)  i'm just glad i'm not at a computer because i would have fallen asleep on my keyboard.  i was sad to have missed my naptime with jae.  sure felt it, too!  i did really miss him, though!

and, that's about all i do at work.  talk, stuff, and stuff some more.

Days go by!

So... working FT has made me miss watching Jae grow up.  I won't be there forever... just until we move for law school; but I miss being with him all day!  He's starting to say new words and catching on to things.  Blanket is "bay".
